1. Install the Amazon Prime Video App:

    *   First, download the Amazon Prime Video app on your Smart TV, Roku, game console, or other streaming device. You can usually find it in the device's app store.

2.  **Open the App and Sign In (or Sign Up):

    *   Launch the Prime Video app.

    *   If you already have an Amazon account, select "Sign In." If not, choose "Sign Up" and follow the on-screen instructions to create an account.  *You'll need a valid email address and a payment method to complete the signup process.*

3.  The Activation Code Appears:

    *   After signing in (or sometimes during the initial setup), the Prime Video app will display a unique 5- or 6-character activation code on your TV screen. *This code is unique to your device and Amazon account.*

4.  Go to amazon.com/code/mytv on a Computer or Mobile Device:

    *   Open a web browser on your computer, tablet, or smartphone and go to [amazon.com/code/mytv](https://www.amazon.com/code/mytv).  *Make sure you type the address correctly!*

5.  Sign In to Your Amazon Account (If Prompted):

    *   You'll likely be asked to sign in to your Amazon account on the website. Use the same email address and password you used on the Prime Video app.

6.  Enter the Activation Code:

    *   Carefully enter the activation code displayed on your TV screen into the field on the [amazon.com/code/mytv](https://www.amazon.com/code/mytv) website.

7.  Click "Register Device:

    *   After entering the code, click the "Register Device" button.

8.  Start Streaming!

    *   Your TV screen should automatically refresh, and you'll be logged in to your Amazon Prime Video account. You can now start browsing and watching your favorite movies and shows.
